I was watering my bonsai trees one day and noticed that a pair of chickadee birds keep flying back and fort to my large viburnum bonsai.
I suspected that they had built a nest inside the tree because it is hollow and there are holes in it.
Sure enough, I decided to peek and there were 5 little mouths begging for food. It was a little bit of challenge to photograph with my smart phone but with my wife’s help holding a flash light, I got these photos inside the hollow trunk.
We showed them to my two daughters and my older daughter said it’s the “tree of life”. That’s the new name for this tree, even though, I previously called it “ugly” on my previous blog.
